Another All-Star Field With Proceeds to City of Hope
A Hall of Fame trio of MLB greats Rod Carew and Eddie Murray and Dodger announcer Jaime Jarrin were in featured roles at last year’s inaugural tournament with a celebrity field of MLB All-Star players and World Series stars.
Carew was the recipient of the first Celebration of Life award presented at the dinner following the tournament. Jarrin and Ross Porter were the emcees for the dinner program.
Hall of Famers Vin Scully and Tommy Lasorda also participated in the fund raising part of the event by hosting luncheons for auction winners.
Another great field of celebrities will gather for the tournament again this year and there will be memorable auction prizes once again.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be divided between the COH head and neck program and the thyroid cancer program in recognition of the loss of baseball’s highly respected Kevin Towers earlier this year.
